Day 7

Jimsmith Lake Provincial Park BC to Calgary AB

Cranbrook BC to Calgary. Today was a bit of a slog. The last 2/3rds of the trip were mostly on a plain going in to Calgary. High winds really caused some neck fatigue — I felt like a bobble head. Then my phone blurted out a tornado warning. Needless to say, I expedited my travels to get to Calgary as quick as possible.

Winds were brutal driving up the road on the east side of the mountain range, then I got this troubling message. Fortunately, I didn’t experience any tornados, but a nice hotel in a big city was a welcome destination after today’s ride.
